Got an 811 downstairs and a 301 upstairs. Haven't tried switching the 2 between locations, but anyone know if the meters are signifigantly different (like 30 points?)

Doesn't sound right to me - small difference, yes, but 30 seems to be quite a lot. Try swapping the 2 boxes. I'd love to know the results. BTW, using transponders 11 & 12 allows apples to apples comparisons for folks. And giving both odd & even numbers is also a good thing.

yep - I was using 11 & 12 as a comparison. Ugh. NOT looking forward to doing a swap :) I'll report soon.

I see differences too. Mine are all running through an SW64, and measured on the same cable / outlet for consistency. Readings for transponder 11 and 12 are:

921 on 119 gives 102 / 88
811 on 119 gives 91 / 71
7200 on 119 gives 84 / 77

921 on 110 gives 96 / 88
811 on 110 gives 86 / 78
7200 on 110 gives 86 / 82

i experience the same thing. the signal strength on my 811 is much higher than on my two 301's. i have moved all three receivers to all of the locations and the numbers are still the same!!
