I need some help, my 129 dish has me stumped.

I am wondering what some of you are getting for a signal on 129 transponder 20 & what dish your using, single & size, 1000 or 1000.2.

I cannot get my signal above 25 using a 30" dish. I get around 60 on 110/119 dish500.
I am thinking of switching to a 1000.2 in a different location but want to make absolutely sure it would help before I do.

Thanks

would have to think a dedicated 30'' dish would work better than a 1k2.
mine is about 50 with a dedicated 18'' dish on transponder 20

I have a 1000 with 129/119/110 and on transponder 20 on 129 I get around 51 here in south central Nebraska
On 119 tp 20 I have 72

Not peaked correctly

Doesn't sound like you peaked correctly on 129. You should get better than what you have on the Dish 500.

I am guessing its either the lnb failing or the tree is taller than it looks. If I have to move the dish i am just going to go with a 1000.2 (dish keeps calling me to upgrade me because of the 61.5 so I'll just let them.)

First adjust 119W for elevation and azimuth for signal strength.
Then adjust the elevation and azimuth to balance 119W vs 129W+110W.
You could try adjusting the skew slightly to balance 129W and 110W, maybe a little more for 110W.
Iterate once. If that doesn't do it then you need to start over and look harder for obstructions.

So all TPs on 129 read low? Like you said, lnb or the trees are blocking the signal. I'm getting 55 on TP 20 with a 1000.2 dish and 612 receiver. The 722 usually reads a bit higher.
