Signal Strength question

Hey all, When I went to menu 6-1-1 the other day to update for the new channels I noticed my signal strength was at 29. It goes from around 29 to 43. Is that acceptable? And if not what kind of tool do I use to improve the signal?

Which sat location and transponder?

Sat 129 and transponder 12

That transponder carries a couple of local HD channels, some out of Chicago, the others out of Kansas City, MO. If you don't live in either city, you should not have to worry about it.

This will prolly be the ultra noob statement of the day. But I am a noob so here goes. So just because I have a low signal on transponder 12 I might have a great signal on whatever transponder espnhd or usahd are on? Like channels aren't on the same transponder..... So they are seperated by sattelites on a greater scale and transponders within the satelites right? Is there a list of what channels are on each sat/transponder?
