I still have 2 working 922 receivers both have been Sling disabled by Dish and they don't go into the backup mode when the satellite signal fails like my Wally, so the question what advantage for me is it to hook it to my network. Seems to me all it does is provide my watch data to them with little or no benefit to me other then add traffic to my network.
I also don't purchase anything from Dish and the free Netflix offering doesn't work on the 922 either. Plus dish no longer cares when my service drops (unlike in the past when they would call me if I had a bunch of signal failures) So, someone give me a good reason to stay hooked to the internet?
Either way the whole Dish system goes in the trash at the end of my contract as I am dumping dish anyway unless their attitudes change towards their customers.
