Since Sling is disabled on a 922 what value is it to hook it to the internet?

Not really...although I probably don't want a rx that's been bouncing around in a van for a couple weeks, either
Bouncing around? Do you honestly think that equipment isn't secured? Did you know Pro Masters have air ride? You do know that it's not feasible for technicians to go to the warehouse every single day to pick up new equipment, right?

I actually had reasonable luck with the 922 receivers, they have 2 short comings, they run very hot and end up cooking the HDD which I have gone thru about 4 of them over the years. The other issue is they get confused from time to time and need to be power cycled to restore the internal drive status. Functionality, menu and guide displays they beat the hell out of the 722 which I have a few of them lying around too. lol

Well mine will all be going to the equipment recycling in June when I dump Dish. As it is I have a playmaker mobile dish and 211 listed on Craig's list from my RV no one seems to want. Seems like most RV'rs have switch to Starlink or 4G streaming so there does not appear to be any interest. Last time I was out in my rig I didn't see anyone with dish portable units.
