If I Hook Up A Slave Reciver Coolsat 8100 To A Coolsat 5000 Will Both Receiver Control A Motor.I Want To Use The 5000 To Do Blind Scan.:)

It should work fine, so long as somebody doesn't make the first receiver change satellites.

I have a Viewsat 9000 slaved to a Coolsat 5000 and the diseqc commands pass along just fine through the Coolsat, until the Coolsat sends out a diseqc command. Then all bets are off.

personally I would run 2 lines so while you watch one channel on a satellite you could be reblind scanning the same sat to find other channels :)

(but thats just me)

otherwise what you put would work in theory

I have been slaving a DVBWorld USB box off of a Coolsat.

As the others said, you are good to go. That is, if you want to blind scan OR watch HD.

Similar to the type of situation cracklincrotch mentioned: Another thing to keep in mind is the polarities must match when watching on one box while scanning with the other.

If I am watching on V polarity, I must restrict scanning to V polarity. Otherwise, the slave box will be "disconnected" when the blind scan changes from V to H polarity.

The method Iceberg brought up would be much more flexible. But I believe you would need a dual output LNBF too.
