Sling adapter needs a tunner

I was recording 3 shows, I could not connect the sling adapter, all I wanted to do is to watch a recorded show, same as I would do using the Joey.

What the need for a tuner, I thought the tuners were needed for the dish.

Can this be fix?

I have been able to do this as long as you don't click live TV it should work. I have a strange bug where it doesn't show the DVR recording, or says something about PIP, but if you switch between receivers in setting it seems to fix the issue.

Sling needs one decoder (aka TV output) and should not require a tuner unless you are watching live TV. If you have PIP active, that would block Sling. Dish OnLine or Dish Remote Access may come up in live mode, but you should be able to go to your timers list and select a program to play and have no problems connecting.

My 922 had a problem where the second decoder would lock up blocking Sling or PIP. When that happened, a receiver reset was required.
