Anybody know if this feature can be accessed while vacationing outside the US? Like Mexico or other central tosouth American countries?

The stand alone slingbox does and is advertised to do so. My cousin in Holland has watched mine.

Not asking about the stand alone sling box. I am asking about the sling adapter designed for dish recievers.

While your answer is informative it doesn't answer my question. Thank you though.

I've connected to mine from Mexico, Canada and Australia. I think anywhere you can get decent internet speeds.

The problem with the Sling Adapter is that you have to give your remote friend the keys (username/password) to your Dish Network account.

Thank you for all the replies. I had a customer today that was very interested because he visits family in Mexico and wanted it for that function. Its good to know this info. Thank you!
