Slow page load then incomplete page

Every now and then, using different computers and internet connections it takes a long time for the main page to load and then it's incomplete. I'm attaching a capture of what my browser (MS IE 6 on XP SP2). Any ideas what it is???

Thats because your browser is not loading the CCS file. It could have been because I was working on the holiday theme.

Just hit refresh and you will be good to go again.

Yea, a reload does fix it. Just as an FYI, I've seen it at other times then just this morning.

Yup the problem would go away if I turned on page caching, but I don't want to do that because then things like our homepage wouldnt update on the last 20 messages posted feature. (You would have to force a refresh on that page to see the updates)

Its kind of a catch 22.
