Slow,slow,slow channel change

Hi, Directv problem,very slow channel change ,worse at night. I have 2 HR22 DVR receiver.Called Directv and they said it is normal if within 5 seconds. This will probly cause me to change companys if it is not fixable. Been with Directv since 1998. Any input welcome. Tom

How is the HR22 connected to the TV? What model TV is it?
Is the slow change on both HRs?
Do you have the DVR set to output with native on or off?
