I know you are supposed to use 30+, but then you get a Dish like AMC4 that you can use an 18inch for...

Are you sure it's not actually getting DirecTV at 101? It's in the same place as AMC4.

You're not going to receive AMC4 on that 18" dish. A cheap signal meter will show a strong signal but it's picking up DirecTV's signal, not AMC4's signal.

Considering I get KUIL-LP on an 18inch Dish (Digiblur will confirm he has done similar), ya, I am 100% positive it is AMC4.

D500+ or D1000+, doesnt matter, I am just wondering what the smallest physical dish is that someone has been able to achieve a signal on 119k... Obviously a 30+ works cause that is what they install with, but what about a 24inch?

Good also.
If you intend to install the 118.75W dish, then go with max what you can.
I wouldn't recommend less then 20".
My personal preference - any Ku/Ka should have 1m(39") ! :)

Well obviously that is the rule, the bigger the better, however when it comes to rules of the house... well lets just say that for once it is better to have a smaller object...

So has anyone had any success with 119k with anything less than a 30inch?

Do Dish CSRs normally ask you to cancel and re-sign up?
