Smart tune from launch - Dish anywhere - What's that mean?

What does this mean in the dish anywhere app? It's unchecked by default. I have noticed that the app has improved quite a bit over the past few years.

It sounds like it launches from where you left off... Similar to Netflix. That would be my guess, but I don't use DA often enough to tell you anything of surety.

I don't remember seeing it there before. It's something they added recently I believe.

As far as I know it turns on live tv on the phone as soon as you open the app each time.
