It started with resistive (stylus), then capacitive (touch, multi-touch).
Next will be gestures, i.e. Kinect-like operation of the phone, tablet and TV.

But all that will go away in 5 years or so and replaced with "thoughts", i.e. mind-control.

I like gadgets but this is something I definitely am NOT looking forward to. Unless it sucks...:)
Then it can be good entertainment.

On a related note: if we do get there, will thoughts be patented, too?

I seen a few years ago where there was a video game that was controlled with the mind. They even had a monkey playing it with his mind.
