So close..and yet so far away with Voom OTA

Hi folks!

I think I'm very close to receiving my locals via a Voom box I bought on eBay. After an initial problem with an unknown PIN, I am now able to get into the Installation Wizard menu using a PIN derived from the box's serial number. Unfortunately, even though the box shows a strong signal (93+), a channel scan comes up empty. In addition, even though I've cleared all the locks, the lock icon still appears next to Parental Controls and Channel Locs menu items.

Is there any hope for me in this situation, or should I start looking for a door that needs stopping?

Doorstop I've got two of those out of the 5 I have. Scans but no picture is no go. At least you now have a remote and spare ATSC tuner for the next one you buy.

Strangely enough, last night I was able to do a scan and find my six locals after doing two hard reboots in a row. I still can't clear the locks or PIN, but I can live with that for now.

It's not perfect, but it works. Thanks for your input!
