My relational database for Commodore 64 was called Superbase 64 published in 1983 by Precision Software out of Surrey, England. Just found the manual in the garage.

I do indeed. Overwhelmed by MS Excel. Same for Word Perfect. These two apps are arguably why the PC was such a success.

The Database program I used for as long as I could was Quatro Pro. At the time it's graphing and charts capability far exceeded Excel.
