SatelliteGuys Radio is Returning! And you can be one of our DJ’s!

Here are the rules for those who wish to be a DJ.

1) All DJ’s must be CURRENT Supporting Pub Members and must have been a registered SatelliteGuys Member for longer than one year.
2) SatelliteGuys Radio is family friendly radio; we want anyone to be able to tune in anywhere, so while we are internet only please follow FCC guidelines for proper content, meaning no explicit lyrics, or adult content.
3) All DJ’s will be given their own username, password and connection port to be able to connect to our transition server. You are not to share this information with any other member.
4) Members will be able to sign up for times and days they wish to broadcast, these days and times will be approved by SatelliteGuys Radio Coordinator. If approved by the coordinator the slot you’re signed up for will be your slot for the next month.
5) DJ’s agree to abide by the rules of internet broadcasting which can be found at http://wiki.live365.com/pmwiki.php?n=Broadcasting.DMCA
6) Members wishing to broadcast occasional specials must notify the SatelliteGuys Radio Coordinator as far in advance of their broadcast so that the SatelliteGuys Radio Coordinator can schedule you in.
7) If you can no make it for your shift, please try to give the SatelliteGuys Radio Coordinator at least 24 hours’ notice. Missing a large number of scheduled shows will result in the suspension of your broadcast privileges.
8) To give everyone a chance to be a DJ, No broadcaster may broadcast for more than three (3) hours per day without written permission of the SatelliteGuys Radio Coordinator.
9) Broadcasters MAY NOT broadcast in any other timeslot other than what they are scheduled for. However it is permissible for a DJ to start their show 5 minutes early to ensure connection to our server. We will try to keep at least 10 minutes open between shows to make this possible. Broadcasters broadcasting outside their scheduled times will have their broadcast privileges revoked.
10) Your broadcasting software MUST send Artist & Song Title data to our server. If you have any questions about this or need help contact out SatelliteGuys Radio Coordinator. SatelliteGuys pays licensing fees via US ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SoundExchange and SOCAN (Canada.) via StreamLicensing.COM. The Artist and Song Title data is needed to make our stream legal and to keep logs of what was played so that we can pay proper licensing. Those not sending proper data will not be allowed to broadcast and could be held liable for licensing payments for no compliant broadcasts.
11) You may not embed a player for SatelliteGuys Radio on your website. Instead you must instruct your listeners to go to our official SatelliteGuys Radio website to listen. That website is http://radio.satelliteguys.us. This is required to keep our stream legal from our licensing company.
12) DJ’s may promote their broadcasts in the special SatelliteGuys Radio forum that will be visible to all members. In addition DJ’s may use the SatelliteGuys Chat Room during their shows. They should however refrain from spamming the rest of the forum advertising their shows.
13) DJ’s are not allowed to promote products or items for profit, nor are they allowed to run for profit commercials. However ads for SatelliteGuys radio and shows on SatelliteGuys radio are permissible.
14) Ultimately you are responsible for your broadcast. You agree to release SatelliteGuys of all liability in regards to your broadcast.
15) SatelliteGuys will try its best to keep our servers online 24/7 , however SatelliteGuys makes no warranties that our servers will be available at all times. We will not be held liable if you are unable to broadcast your show because our servers are down.
16) SatelliteGuys reserves right to terminate any broadcast or a broadcasters ability to broadcast without notice.
17) Rules are subject to change without notice.
18) Have FUN! That's what it's all about!

Any questions ask here or contact our send a message to SatelliteGuys Radio Coordinator EuroSport! :)
