software attenuator in the TV 2 modulator

Just moved from direct SD to dish HD. And the Indy car race was great in high def. I have two 722 receivers, Somewhere I thought it made reference to a software attenuator in the TV 2 modulator yet I can find no settings for it.
My question is there an RF attenuator and where can I confirm it is off? I need just a little more signal

They come with an inline attenuator for the RF output. I don't recall ever seeing a software setting for this.

It's the 222k and 722k that have software attenuator settings.
