Dish will be shuffling things around in the morning so that they can "Turbo Charge" their HD customers. Here is the info I just recevied.

HD Channels Going Dark

In order to complete the massive system upgrade, DISH must turn off certain HD transponders for approximately 60 minutes in order to Turbo-Charge our HD customers. HD programming will go dark at 4am EST and turn back on at approximately 5am EST.

Ten HD channels will go dark. Local channels and pay-per-view channels will not be affected.

The ten channels going dark are:
A&E
Bravo
ESPN
ESPN 2
HBO
History
National Geographic
Showtime
TBS
TNT

During the blackout, standard definition programming will be available to all DISH Network subscribers, including SD simulcasts of HD channels.

isn't the turbo charging thing moving to MPEG4? why are some MPEG4 channels part of this update (like ESPN2) while MPEG2 channels as HD Theater isn't?

Some lipsynch issues were present this morning on the standard def channels (I believe Style network) according to my girlfriend around 6:40 AM CDT.

I was in the shower.
