Sound Delay on HD Channels?

My sound works just fine through the tv's speakers for all my channels, but when I turn on my surround sound (Fed by a toslink optical cable from the 811) the HD channels seem to have a lag associated with the sound. All the SD channels are fine, but HD ones are out of sync. Any ideas?

Try turning off power and unplug the 811 for a little bit then plug it back in and try...

If it continues, then probably what's going on is a natural thing you get when you run the video straight to the TV and the sound to the AV receiver. When you process the sound, the video signal gets to the screen before the sound is ready, and you end up with a lag. If your AV receiver supports a digital video input and output, run the video through the receiver and this should clear up.

This happens to my 811 about once a month. While the 811 is on hold down the power button for 5 seconds, when the screen blanks let the button go. This will reboot the receiver. This always clears that problem up for me.
