Sound Off?

For some reason on HD the sound is off from the actual viewing picture. When I turn it to sd, everything fine, HD, sound off. Any thoughts or ideas?

Is this true for all or just a few. If it is all try menu 6-1-7 and see if the sync is set for SD. If so then that is the problem.

OK, I tried the 6-1-7 and that didn't work. I notice it most when the family sits down to watch American Idol. It's not off really bad, but, like maybe a half second. But, noticeable.

Hard reset meaning pushing the power button down for 10-15 seconds?

Hard reset is pull the plug for 1 minute.

This is known as "Soft Reset". "Hard Reset" is pull plug for about a minute, as Jim said.
