Echostar 12 61.5W E03 Bethpage (Satkml)

The map is so wrong. I am just outside the highest EIRP line (17522) and I can no longer lock the signal. I used to get 20 during the day and lose the signal at night. As of last week I cannot lock for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

If you are in south/central eastern PA, pleae post your 61.5 TP15 signal strength and your zip/general lacation. Thank You.

Check out this thread.

Here's my results, I'm about 3.5 miles outside the blue line.
Receiver type: 622

Area: 21015 – MD
Date/Time: 6/30/09 1030 pm , cloudy skies

09: 58 SB (Locked – EchoStar 61.5 West)
11: 82 SB (Locked – EchoStar 61.5 West)
13: 71 SB (Locked – EchoStar 61.5 West)

17: 31 (Locked - Name Not Acquired)
19: 36 (Locked – EchoStar 61.5 West)
21: 46 (Locked – EchoStar 61.5 West)
23: 0
24: 51 (Locked – EchoStar 61.5 West)
25: 50 (Locked – EchoStar 61.5 West)

I think "name not acquired" means it really isn't locked on to the right satellite.

The maps were correct at filing of the satellite. But DishNetwork has tilted the satellite causing the beams to move Northeast.

Not locked/name not acquired means that the receiver may have picked up a signal from switch bleed and/or lnb drift. You can chalk those up as Zeros.

Where is the info about tilting the 61.5 satellite to the northeast? We are having a problem with low signal in Marco Is. FL with 61.5 transponder 15, Spot beam 9 which has our HD locals. If they tilted it NE and didn't re-aim our beam, we may be almost out of the footprint. Dish says nothings wrong.

It looks like they're using about 16 spot beams on 8 transponders for about 63 markets on Echostar 12 at 61.5.

Signal strength for spot beam 9, transponder 15 on 61.5 for south central Florida increased today from 10 to 24 in Marco Is., FL. I guess they moved something. Still a little low for summertime shower punch through.
