St. Louis Man Set Free After DNA Clears Him

My god. In some of these cases, maybe the DNA is not the whole story, or it's easy to think, when reviewing the guy's past, that "well, maybe he is, or isn't, guilty of this crime, but it seems he's guilty of other, similar crimes" - or other BS.

So this guy gets a bit less than $330,000. No fatherhood experiences, horrible jail experiences, and frankly, the best years of his life (health, sexual, and mental) GONE. There's no "fix." No way to restore anything. Limited job prospects. Even a stipend for life can't fix it. Nothing. Or very little. We can only work to prevent it's reoccurrence. Yet, I still support capital punishment. We just have to be VERY sure.

How can we "do right" by a guy like this? And isn't that kind of what we're supposed to be all about?

Terrible or sure but what of the Gitmo detainees, lost 5 years of their life with no charges ever filed and many have probably been tortured.

The whole thing is why execution is WRONG, at least this guy can be replaced, once dead theres no correcting mistakes!
