(Well rats, I had typed a nice, long blog about my experience watching "Into Darkness" this afternoon, but the App ate it. :( )

I would pay the price to see this in 3D, unless you have adverse reactions to the Real-3D system in use. Lots of cool scenes where the 3D works nicely. I especially liked the entry into Warp Speed...

I saw it in 3D and it looked great. I liked the movie but didn't like how they reversed things from the original.

All some of the above "whatever" aside....GREAT movie. Loved the way they re-established some of the old cantor. WELL DONE!!!

I came up with my ranking of Star Trek movies.

1. Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan
2. Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home
3. Star Trek - First Contact
4. Star Trek VI - The Undiscovered Country
5. Star Trek - Into Darkness
6. Star Trek
7. Star Trek III - The Search for Spock
8. Star Trek - Generations
9. Star Trek - Insurection
10. Star Trek - Nemesis
11. Star Trek The Motion Picture
12. Star Trek V - The Final Frontier

Pretty much how I would have rated...I would have Nemesis and Final Frontier a tie as last place.

Well US box office now makes it the second highest ST (behind the last movie). Adjusted for inflation it is #7 for US box office. But, if you do worldwide, it would be #2 again adjusted for inflation. It has done $102 million overseas, getting close to the prior's 128 million.

This weekend's estimate is $38 million F/S/S, if you count Monday estimate is $48 million.
