How can that be, when they are 1,000 years in that future, 32 century? They never came back...

Actually, from Voyager iirc, The Doctor has advanced tech, (somehow) I think they said he had tech from the 32nd Century.

Wonder how much we'll hear names dropped from other shows that came before them.
If they mention the past at all ... remember, when TNG came out they were not suppose to mention TOS at all for quite awhile.

Saw a glimpse of a Jem'Hadar as an instructor, that was kinda neat. I'll give it a go, but clearly looks like something that I wouldn't watch if it weren't for the branding.

Except for the fact that when Discovery went 900+ years into the future, they didn't have to hold themselves to canon and violated it numerous times...

I wouldn't dare suggest that anyone hold up Disco as a shining example of what Star Trek should be (or should have been).

Very lively to say at least with a good IDIC in this new show, looking forward to it.

Watched both of the first two. I enjoyed it, although I am sure some here will not. I am one that did not mind discovery, but this was so far a good bit superior to it, and better than at least the last season of SNW.

I've seen the first so far, love the Jem'Hadar Klingon and didn't like the actual Klingon as it felt like an SNL parody of one. Definitely a show 'not for me' but enjoyed it enough.

Edit: I got halfway through the 2nd and am just not interested enough to keep going. I don't hate it, I'm just not interested. Just not a show for me.

The throwbacks to previous Star Trek shows have cameos by Rok-Tahk from Prodigy and Peanut Hamper from Lower Decks, along with the expected live actors from Discovery.

I liked it for the most part, except the "hippy 60s" thing with no shoes and the way she lays in the Captain chair. I found that kind of stupid, uncomfortable and disrespectful. You would never have seen Captain Janeway of Star trek Voyager pull that crap.

Agree on the bare feet and inappropriate reclining.

Loved everything else except the outrageous nonsense about the full blooded Betazoids. They are not like the half-Betazoid Deanna Troi who was just an empath. They are supposed to be full telepaths like Lwaxana Troi was. And they used sign language! Why? And everybody knows that even half-Betazoid Troi had black irises. Not light brown!

Egad for canon which was otherwise great.
