Hi,
I was losing signal on 129 , watching Epix 1. So I called dish and they
said I would need to have a tech come by to take a look. Had to sign up
for the protection plan but after the tech came by and replaced the lnb, cable
section that was RGB59 (old Comcast cable) was still getting the same error.
The tech then replaced my 722 with a new 722k and the problem went away.
After all the changes to my account, received several emails from Dish with
various change confirmations to my account, I still have my Dish Absolute!!

So what is the story with Dish Absolute, I was sure I would be flagged and canceled.

I would like to cancel my service plan now but should I take a chance?

I canceled Cinemax last week and still have Absolute. I canceled through my Dish account online, so I suggest doing that.

I could not find where to cancel services? Did you do a chat?

Thanks

If you still need it, login to your dish account. On the left side, click 'My Programming'. At the bottom of the page, click 'View additional programming'. You will see the service plan listed. Uncheck it and click 'review and order'. Verify that you will still have Absolute, then click 'order now'. That way you don't deal with a csr that may force you to change packages.

Thanks for the info, but for me when I go to programming section, everything is empty except
for the service plan.

Although in the billing section, I still have Absolute listed.

Basic Programming:
Premiums Channels:
A La Carte and Add-ons: Service Plan (15/25) $6.00

Same for me. I don't care as long as I still have Absolute.:)

Nothing you did would cause you to "lose" Absolute. You can add/drop the service plan, add/remove premium channels, and more with no risk.
