Strange Joey 2.0 Remote Issue

I had a Joey 2.0 installed with my Hopper 3 a few weeks back. I hate the 52.0 remote so much i bought some 40.0 remote instead. On this Joey 2.0 the 52.0 remote worked just fine with the old phillips magnabox tv.

I unpaired the 52.0 remote and paired the 40, then set it up with the tv. There were three codes that all worked but using the 40.0 remote if I pressed the power, volume or mute the remote sends the command twice. Hence the tv turns on then off, mute then unmute, etc.

I tried another 40.0 remote that worked fine on another tv and it does the same thing on this tv. I then tried the 52.0 again and it does NOT do this and works perfectly.

Has anyone else ever seen this strange behavior and know a way to solve it?

Do the manual unpair on the remote via the key presses. See if that resolves yourissue.

unpaired and then it does it again as soon as I pair it to the Joey. 52.0 remote still works fine. ughhh

Do you have HDMI--CEC enabled? Try turning it off.
