Sun Outages-Late Feb.

Our twice a year sun outage period is coming, this year it falls between Feb. 22 to Feb. 29. At the peak on the 26th the interruption will be up to 13 minutes, which sends the noise floor up about 15 db. For Alaska that is, your mileage will vary. It puts on quite a light show and tests a lot of red LED's lol...

And by sun outage you really mean :

"The best time to see what your furthest east and west satellites are and what is in the way."

That's how I like to look at it.

That's how I like to look at it.
We use it as an opportunity to do disruptive work, during the daily outage but you have to work quick. Switching equipment or cables around or whatever.
