I'm in, it's from James Gunn...
Don't like the new suit. Remember, it was supposed to be made from the bedding sent with baby Jorel. Doubt they had bulky accents (or that there would be enough to make them}.

Prefer this one?

Imagine how much damage that dog would do in the real world.
Do I need to find a public domain copy of "Man of Steel: Woman of Kleenex" published by Larry Niven? (Here's the essay on his site) He mused about the problems of an immature Clark Kent and certain emissions that, being Super-powered, would seek a viable target and cause a boom in unexplained pregnancies in Smallville.

Ditto with a canine from Krypton, if he was equally excited by a neighborhood bitch in heat, look out! Bob Barker would advise the Kents to neuter Krypto, but that would take kyptonite and even then, wouldn't Kypto's alien physiology just regenerate the removed reproductive organs?

Reviews are all over the place for this film. But from what I can tell, it should be the first Superman involved film I'll see in well over a decade or two (that didn't involve a Rifftrax). Hopefully this is the start of a viable DC movie run that is actually good.

My girlfriend wants to see it, going on Sunday, I honestly could of waited till it arrived on disc, the previews just make it look busy, way too much going on.

I don't think I have seen anything Superman related since Christopher Reeves. A lot of what I've read doesn't inspire me to start now. Who knows, maybe when it is streaming.

Actually I did watch a season or two of Supergirl. Meh

Superman was the best Superman I've seen in decades. It wasn't that good. It was awesome for a DC movie but Superman the character sucks.

Even partial resolutions made no sense. Luthor's plot made no sense. Luthor's tech seemed absurd. Dorkly's latest video on Luthor's assistant really provides a humorous look into Luthor's problem. Guy could make himself bigger than Superman by solving world problems. Instead convoluted plans.

Green Lantern's character caught me by surprise, but apparently the comics went in that direction. Nathan Fillon, love the guy, didn't work for me. In fact, the side heros of the Justice "Gang" felt so hollow.

Oh and can we get to the part where Luthor manages the video recovery, translation, confirmation in what a day? It is like Gunn had a plan on turning Superman heel and was doing a decent job early on, but then decided to sidestep it.

Finally, the rift, it kind of matters, kind of doesn't, kind of does again. Also onpy tearing a portion of reality, and only so much. Anti-proton river? The science and coherence in Lego Batman was better. Please, don't science if you aren't going to try.

The Gunn feel was there at moments, including a particular sequence that seemed taken from GotG III. But overall, it was a weak influence. This guy made you want to tear up because an otter died... and Superman mostly felt like a dimensionless cartoon.

Nonsensical, inconsistent, one dimensional, and inorganic with the humor.
