Does anyone know why KTLA, KWGN, and WSBK have the left and right sides of the screen cropped off? WWOR and WPIX are shrunk to fit right in the middle of the screen. Will Dish be able to do the same with the other 3 superstations so we can see the entire picture?

At least with WWOR and WPIX are widescreen and you can zoom make it fit your tv screen.

Any insight would be great. Thanks.

The stations no longer broadcast an SD signal, but it sounds like Dish is downconverting them to SD.

Yes, to correct this problem you can turn off the auto feature on the TV and set the screen to whatever you want. METV does the same thing over the air

There is nothing to correct on your TV if the content is being cropped before it reaches your receiver.

MeTV has the same issue. They recently changed many of their affiliates to widescreen yet the Dish-delivered version is still in 4x3 mode.
