Swap 811 and 625 remotes with each other?

My wonderful wife has broken our 625 remote (one too many times dropping it off the bed onto a hard wood floor). Half the buttons don't work anymore, making it almost useless. I have an 811 remote that I put into retirement for a Logitech Harmony remote. Can I use the 811 remote with the 625 DVR by somehow reprogramming it? Thanks for any advice!

I don't have a 625 receiver but I tried the 811 remote with a 501 and it didn't work. I believe the 811 remote is 8.0 UHF Pro only, so you can try programming for TV2 in the 625 and see if it works.
