Syfy's 'Defiance' Canceled After Three Seasons

The way the show ended last season,you had to figure that this was the outcome.

Damn!!

The way the last season ended offered two easy possibilities:
1. A spin off with the two of them off for some space adventures
2. Cancellation

I was hoping for something like #1, but was always afraid of #2. Especially when they didn't talk about another season at all at the end. I wonder what the odds are that someone like Netflix could run with that ball??

Bummer, I will miss this show and the actors that worked on it.

Syfy is actually getting Scifi, but doing like Fox, get you hooked and cancelling...

It is nice to see that they at least try to do some series that aren't BBC rewrites.

It wasn't mentioned in the story above but a story at Blastr reminds me that Syfy did this to themselves again. Defiance started out on Monday's with good ratings. Moving the show to Thursday for season two caused a sharp decline in ratings.

I don't really get it as I record everything to watch later but it must make a difference to some people.
