I've noticed a periodic loss of sync on my Sony RP, primarily when the screen goes briefly to black (between scenes or commercials). It is accompanied by the "DTV" legend and the "1080i" onscreen. It is NOT a VOOM problem, but a SONY one.

If you have warranty left, you may want to print the bulletin to assist in obtaing service. The posts I read elsewhere indicated some difficulty in convincing some techs that the problem was the RPTV, not the HD source.
