Tablet freezing when streaming from DVR

I have a Hopper/ Sling. When streaming from the DVR on my Lenovo M10 3rd Generation tablet, if I use the fast forwarding feature to skip over the commercials more than 2 or 3 times my tablet will freeze, the buttons will be non functional and it will take 2-3 hours before my tablet will unfreeze. My research has indicated this is a software issue, where the buffer becomes overloaded and freezes. My question are does anyone else experience this and 2) If this is not an issue (the freezing only when fast forwarding) what Android tablet are you using? Thanks
