First post here guys, thanks for your help in advance....

I tailgate with a VIP 622 DVR on a standard definition TV. My friend will be bringing an additional TV this weekend and I would like some instructions on how to run both TVs on the same receiver if possible so we can watch 2 different football games at once. I'm definitely new at all this and have just recently managed to run one TV, so the more detailed the instructions the better. Thanks in advance.

Using the coaxial output from the 622, attach a two-way splitter and then connect outputs to the two tvs.

That's not gonna work Jeff. He wants to watch two different ball games from the same receiver.

Hook the coax output of the receiver to one of the TVs and feed the other with composite wires, red, white, yellow. The composite will show you tuner 1 and the coax will show you tuner 2.

There should also be composite outputs for tv2 on the back of the receiver, if your within 6 feet or so of the receiver with both tv's. Seeing your tailgating I would assume you are. Using composite will give you a little better picture on tv2 than the coax, especially if you have flat screens.

Yes, there are composite outputs for both TV1 and TV2...

Just in case the tv's do not have inputs for a/v cables you could have a short cable coming out of the home distribution going into a two way splitter. If this is done obviously then you would want to go into menu and go to modulator setup (menu button then press 6 1 5) change tv1 setting to air mode and change the channel for tv 1 to show up on on what ever channel you like as long as its not the same channel tv2 is set to work on. Just another way to do it good luck and drink a beer for me.

opps.... then run a cable from the two way splitter to each tv put one tv on the channel tv2 usually works on and set the other to what ever channel you set the reciever to work on for tv1
