Why do my local channels (Birmingham, AL DMA) all have a temporary home in the 9800 channel range??? In the program guide it has the channel number, then it says temporary home for Birmingham FOX, Birmingham ABC, etc.

What does this mean? Is this a good sign (maybe getting HD soon) or is this a bad sign (locals are about to move off Dish1000)?

HELP!

Dish is moving some locals form 119 over to 110. They are mirroring them at 9800 range for those people who have just a single Dish 300 (aimed only at 119) to get them to upgrade)

If you can see channel 9900, you’re all set and have a Dish500 : )
