Terrible call to DiSH

Interesting. Historically DiSH rx's have been operable by IR command including those (also) operable by RF remote. There's always the odd situation where RF remote is either undesired or problematic, and of course I'm sure they wanted some usability with 3rd party IR multi-remotes. Although it seems I recall that Echo and HTS C-band rx's used UHF remote with no IR, and maybe like also the DiSH 4000/5000(?)

Way back (pre-1989) they got into FCC trouble because the UHF remote was too powerful. So they fixed it, and then it didn't work so hot.

And they continue to work both UHF an IR. In fact if you set the IR command to enabled on the Hopper/Joey/Wally you can use the old Dish 20/21 IR remotes and they work just fine.
