Testing Enhanced Weather

My test icon just showed up at :20 after the hour. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it pops up again at :30 after. I didn't get to press "Select" because I hit the guide button on the remote to see the time and the icon went away. By the way, its a 622.

Does not do much good when the Dish goes down anytime it rains

If your Dish goes down everytime it rains then you have a problem with your install.

If your dish goes down anytime it rains, then your local weather will say "Hey! It's raining!"

I also have a 322. So it may be comming in the very near future. What a benefit that will be to have an animated loop of the radar. I know so many of us have been waiting so long for this.

Yeah, hopefully these tests are just that, and when it's all finalized, we actually have a SLIDESHOW. For me, the pop-up has been popping-up (on a 522) about 7 seconds AFTER the "National" On The 8's )) and lasting about two minutes.

I watched the weather channel for 90 minutes tonight from 11pm to 12:30 am and didn't see the test.I'm hoping they will resume tomorrow.I can't wait till this gets implemented especially the radar in motion.

Just curious. This apparently requires a software upgrade. My 622 currently has l405 and I assume when the weather on the 8's is activated the software upgrade will show something different then l405. Is this correct?
