Texting + Driving = BOOM!

Yesterday morning was interesting.......

Young kid said he was sending a text message and dropped his phone. He reached down to get it and managed to take out our mailbox and crash into the neighbor's tree. He tried to flee, but the truck stalled out on him. Luckily he was not hurt, and no kids were playing in the street. We asked how fast he was going, and he said 20 mph........ you be the judge.

Maybe he was doing 20 when he dropped the phone then when he went to pick it up he pushed down on the accelerator. No doubt, faster than 20...
