I wasn't into satellite back then. But, I sure do miss the 80's and what MTV use to be.
Almost certain it was on F4. I can't remember the channel/trans. Or at least it was dialed in as "F4". The launch predates me, but unless they moved, that was where they were.
I was around in that time and space. But I was too busy living to have witnessed this. I wonder if you took a 2-hour snip from current MTV (is it still on the air?) if there would be that much talent exhibited?

Me too! I see there is a channel called MTV Classic on Orby but it is not included in my $40 package. Looks like they actually air music videos, even some from the 80' and 90's, so I'm guessing it would be better than what is on the original MTV now...

They left the model that made them unique and successful. Even Classic Arts channel founders admit to copying the MTV strategy. In MTV's defence, I guess youtube is in effect the new MTV but better. Individuals get to personally be their own VJ.
