A generation ago the boss was typically also the owner and they cared about their employees and the employees in return cared about their jobs and the company. That boss/owner would do anything and everything before letting you go! Those days are long gone! Today's company cares about only one thing the bottom line! It is just one more sign of a crumbling society.
