America's favorite Thanksgiving Day parade heralds the start of the Christmas season! Full of fun and surprises, this beloved holiday parade features colorful floats, marching bands, giant character balloons and performances by today's hottest stars -- plus Santa Claus.

According to the Kansas City Star

Kansas City Star Wed, 23 Nov 2005 0:10 AM PST
NBC’s “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” is hosted by the “Today” show crew of Matt Lauer, Katie Couric and Al Roker and will be broadcast in high definition for the first time. High school bands will pay tribute to New Orleans.

Talk about confusing.... Here in Dallas / Fort Worth The HD broadcast was the Live feed while their other channel was a 1 hour tape delay. The HD broadcast skipped the entire first hour of the three hour parade.
