The SatelliteGuys.US Uplink Activity Report - 02/21/2007 - 9 changes

Well, 9440 is HBOHD at 148w and 9443 is The HD Demo at 61.5w. The SOON channels are in the 5800s. They must be playing games with the numbers. :)
Could they be program numbers?

Here are screencaps...

Those must be more "virtual" channels, though it's odd that they have the same numbers as some actual channels. If I recall, you cannot tune directly to channel 944x to watch the "program" that the "on demand" menu lists.

These are not the same numbers as actual channels. HD channels are in the 9400 range. These are in the 9900 range.

... between 3 - 5 a.m this morning. My receiver was turned off during the night.

Mine restarted itself at approx 4AM. I just happened to be up not feeling too well. As I was walking past the 622 on way back to bed, I heard the fan spool up as it restarted.

Believe it or not ALMA is also a station coming from Kazakhstan. Maybe it is a HD PI channel specializing in Spanish soul from southwesternl asia.

Thanks for the heads up JohnH...

The SatelliteGuys.US Uplink Activity Report - 02/23/2007 - 1 change

Uplink Comparison Range: 02/22/2007 01:10A - 02/23/2007 05:32P - (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada)

5890 - MP271 added to EchoStar5 129W TP 27 ConUS beam (Not Available)

Channels in the system: 3181
(A) = Available
(NA) = Not Available

5890 is an encrypted MPEG4 channel running at a constant bit rate just shy of 8 mbps. It's sitting right next to A&E-HD and UNI-HD that are running in MPEG2 mode. I'm assuming they are testing a mix of MPEG2 and MPEG4 channels on the same TP.

Kenseth takes it to the winners circle.
