This is a proof of concept vehicle prettied up with some snazzy bits. It will never go any further.
My brother-in-law was a lead in HD special projects before he retired 4 years ago and did some of this. He was very critical at how conservative HD was about anything even slightly different. I saw a number of different projects that looked very promising, but never saw the light of day (turbo diesel anyone?)

Nice find, this is definitely much better. The battery range is decent and the 30 minute quick charge is a nice feature.
