They do that in all areas. Also Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc

How long does it take to get Dish installed after the order is placed?

It depends on how full that area is. In my region, probably within a few days in Summer, less in Winter. Where I'm working lately in Columbus, OH, because of a local RSP snafu, orders are over a week behind in most cases. But we're working hard to get that caught up

Generally 2-5 days.

Sometimes same day and next day, but that’s rare to see.

The satellite providers are generally quick on installs, as they have done the research that the longer a customer waits the more likely they are not to get installed.

I had the option of same day when I got new service last September.

Same day drop-in installations used to drive me nuts. Never failed to be at the end of what had been a pretty good day. Might get home by dinner.

Don't get me started on holidays.
