I thought it would be a good time to return to this.

Here are my favorite tips and tricks for 622 722 and 722K receivers:

In Duel Mode the best way to stop tuner 2 (TV2) from recording from TV1

Menu > 6 > 1 > 1. Going to the point dish screen should stop all current recordings on either tuner.

In Single Mode the best way to change the channel on the other tuner (inc. OTA)

Rt Key > Ch # > PIP Press PIP a few more times to exit PIP and press Swap to view other tuner.

Sleep Mode

Press TV mode on top of your remote > * Remember to hit SAT mode when you are done.

and of course when the on screen guide is displayed

Skip fwd jumps 24 hrs ahead
Skip back goes back 24 hrs
# > Rt Key jumps that many hrs ahead.

I don't understand this one. TV Mode, then the '*'(format) key? Didn't do anything for me.

Probably depends on your TV and what DISH remote (or remote code) you are using. On my 20.0 remote it works on my Mitsubishi TV (in fact it works better than the orig. TV remote because its a one button procedure..its a two on the orig.) and on my much older Sony TV it works too. If TV mode button doesn't light up as you are pressing the * (format) key it may not be programed for your TV model.
