Tired of Asian Theme Samurai movies

I had VOOM when it was an independent company and there was MUCH more variety in the movies than I am seeing now. Asian in the World Cinema, Asian in the Kung Fu, Asian in the Film Fest and sometimes, Asian in the Family Room. Enough is enough! There are so many other classic movies that are not being shown and if any are shown, it is maybe only one or two times.

I really don't like this VOOM set up and wish it would separate out--seriously thinking of not renewing the HD when my contract is up and hoping for Movie Beam or some other source of HD movies.

VOOM has been with HD a year now and just don't see a lot of new content. Along with the HD-Lite, am not impressed and hope there will be other venuew for HD films--like the Movie Beam of Broadband or something.

Too bad DISH really trashed VOOM--it really is nothing like it was, movie-wise.

I went to the review movies and just compiled the movies within a month and a half ago (non-samurai) which viewers have reviewed. There is variety and honestly I like the Samurai movies. The ones in KungFu HD have an action type of theme but the ones on WorldCinema have a non-action theme. Just my 2 cts. I am sure that there is more than this just to give you a taste of it. I do not understand your statement about not being new content. I can't keep up with the new content even though I have a 622 and a 211 on two different Tvs. Look at the monthly threads.

VOOM pulled the plug on itself, when the board decided they couldn't keep throwing money down a hole. Dish saved VOOM, to the extent that it exists today.

I wish they played something other than the usual old kungfu movies.. I would love to see reruns of samuri jack :)

Some Jackie Chan, Jet Li, etc movies would be cool too, heck I even enjoyed that Kungfu hustle movie.. it cracked me up.. :)

I'm not a fan of the Kung Fu channels, but they do have a variety of movies. I still miss Cinema10, but if they can just replace Kung Fu with GuyTV and add another movie channel...I'll be satisfied. VOOM-Lite is another topic of discussion.
