TiVo Player and Dish Receivers - Compatible?

I have a Toshiba SD-H400 which is a very basic TiVo player and DVD Player. I want to hook it up to the second location on my Dish 322 receiver which is in the basement and set to channel 80. When I run the line directly from the wall into the TV player I get a good picture but if I try running the line into the SD-H400 first and then to the TV (tried both coax and RCA connections) the picture is awful and the TiVo player can't find my signal. It seems the TiVo player wants to be on channel 3 but I can't do that with this TV. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions or I am just out of luck on this. Maybe if I moved the receiver to this location?

If you can change channels on the TIVO player, put it on the same channel your tv is normally on to watch Dish and put your TV on channel 3. If your settings are correct, that should clear up your video issues. The only way to have them both on channel 3 is if the TIVO is connected to your primary 322 output.
