To any DIRT member....(Fox Sports South HD, and SportsSouth HD)

I'm using two Dish 211 receivers to broadcast Fox Sports South HD and Sports South HD on our campus cable system. Since the channels on these receivers never changes they display a "Channel not Available" message when FSS and SS are off the air. The problem is that when they start broadcasting again the message doesn't go away unless I interact with the receiver. The video stays behind the message. Having to press "Select" or something on both channels every single day (including weekends) is a pain. I have deactivated the inactivity timers on the receivers, but is there anything else I can do?

Hate to burst your bubble but redristributing a broadcast from a Dish or other providers equipment is illegal.

So I doubt any DIRT member will help you other than shutdown your receivers.

We have a contract with Dish thru a company called CampusTelevideo.

can you set up autotune timers for them to switch to an infomercial channel and then maybe another timer to autotune back?

Yes, the only problem is that they don't come on the air at the same time every day. I think I'm good now. I haven't seen the error message stay up after the video comes on since last week.
