TORONTO - The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club will air 10 regular season games and the 2006 NLL All-Star Game live on Rogers Sportsnet during its quest for a sixth National Lacrosse League Championship in 2006.

"Our partnership with Rogers Sportsnet will allow our fans across the country to enjoy Toronto Rock games in the comfort of their own homes," said Rock president Brad Watters. "Whether they're in Victoria, B.C., or St. John's, Nfld., this allows every fan to see the Rock against rivals like Calgary, Buffalo and Arizona, or even the new expansion franchise in Edmonton."

"We're thrilled to be back on one TV station for all our home games in 2006."

The schedule begins with the Rock's home opener on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. against the Arizona Sting.

"We're pleased to have the Toronto Rock back on Sportsnet for a seventh consecutive season," said David Akande, Vice-President of Programming, Rogers Sportsnet. "Their five championships in seven years has set the standard in the National Lacrosse League."

The television broadcast schedule includes eight home games, two road games in Alberta and the 2006 NLL All-Star Game, which will be played for the first time in Toronto, at the Air Canada Centre.
