How do I transfer existing settings and timers (NOT recordings) from old Hopper 3 to a brand new Hopper 3?

The settings are stored on the Hopper and also the remote. After pairing the remote with the new Hopper you can transfer the settings to the new Hopper. Press Home 3x then Tools-- Technician Settings. The choices there are self explanatory. Update the remote settings on the old Hopper first.

Hi,
My old hopper 3 crashed. Got stuck in the start up loop 9999.
Did a backup settings before the crash. I do this daily. I'm on my 6 box in 7 months.
Now I have tried to (restore to receiver) quite a few times and I still can't get my timers back.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure you have to unpair the remote from the old Hopper first. Then piair it to the new one. Some where in this site are the directions to do this manually.

Kind of hard since it wouldn't boot up. So they came out and installed a new one. This use to be easy, they changed the software on one of their 1,000 plus weekly updates. They keep breaking my boxes with updates.

You don't need the Hopper to boot. I added a link to the manual unpairing procedure in my post.
